8 Things To Know About Nana Jacqueline’s Italian-Inspired New Summer Collection

Summer is truly upon us and nothing beats the glistening coastline of the Italian Riviera. Nana Jacqueline, the Californian label synonymous with ultra feminine designs with a daring edge, launches today a new summer collection inspired by Italy, showcasing the best of fantasy, allure, and charm the destination has to offer.

Founded by Nana Li and Jacqueline Zhang in 2013, the brand loved by the new generation of strong, independent females transitioned from its initial focus on fashion and home collections to the ready-to-wear label it is today, featuring luxurious fabrics in distinctive silhouettes.

Nana Jacqueline’s concept of Look Good, Feel Good continues to empower confident girls to embark on whatever journey life takes them. The new collection is comprised of a series of long and mini-length dresses with soft lace panels as well as crystal embellishments. Despite the color palette being mainly soft and gentle with translucent peach, pink as well as blurred florals, a rich hue of purple was decidedly injected by Li and Zhang for added power and strength. The designers shed more light on the 8 things to know about the collection.

How do you describe the Nana Jacqueline aesthetics and what inspired the new line?

Nana Jacqueline is made for dreamers that change lives from season to season. With the summer and holiday on everyone’s mind, we wanted to create looks for those special trips. We were inspired by elements of an Italian Summer; the Mediterranean Sea, shining pearls, sparkling starfish, floral prints, and vibrant colored coral.

Where’s your favorite destination in Italy and what do you love the most about summer there?

Love Sicily. Italy’s largest island offers exceptional beaches, charming towns, natural wonders and cultural treasures. An Italian summer is a precious time where life can be truly enjoyed.

Where was the campaign shot?

The campaign was shot in two different locations in Italy: Taormina, Sicily and Venice. The 2 locations represent two different vibes of NJ aesthetics. Sicily is for the coastline ocean lovers with a curiosity in adventures and exploring. Venice is for the hopeless romantics and lovebirds. It’s a dream place for those who bask in love.

Favorite pieces from the collection?

The long gown with the built-in scarf. I love how comfortable and chic this piece is. Plus the gloves to match make the look.

Trending color this summer?

Purple, green, and pink. NJ never goes wrong in pink.

What’s Nana Jacqueline’s core value and what message do you want to get across with your designs?

NJ hopes to bring confidence to those who wear it. We want to make your life’s most treasured moments perfect.

What’s next for Nana Jacqueline?

We just launched NJ Jewelry. We are working on designing more NJ shoes and bags.
