Atlantis Paradise Island Announces Multimillion-Dollar Upgrades For 2022

The Atlantis Paradise Island has this week announced its plans to undergo multimillion-dollar renovations at the iconic oceanfront property. The Bahamas’ most famous resort is best known for its landmark pink architecture — specifically the Royal Towers and Bridge Suite — and has acted as an example of Carribean luxury for nearly 25 years.

The resort is aiming to raise the bar even higher by investing in a huge array of massive upgrades and enhancements that will include the redevelopment of the Beach Tower and all Royal Tower guestrooms and suites. Highlights will also include a new reimagined Atlantis Casino and the addition of another Michelin-starred chef.

“We could not be more excited for all of the developments coming to Atlantis this year,” said Audrey Oswell, President and Managing Director of Atlantis Paradise Island, in a recent press release. “With these incredible additions, we are continuing Atlantis’ legacy of offering guests endless, immersive experiences during their stay.”

Multi-starred New York Times and Michelin recognized Italian chef, Michael White, will join Nobu Matsuhisa and José Andrés at the Atlantis Paradise, making it the only resort in the region to boast three Michelin star-rated chefs on the property. The modern Italian restaurant, Paranza at The Cove, is expected to open later this year.

The guestroom renovations will “blend Bahamian hospitality and comfort with superior design” thanks to bold, organic, and rich elements and textures that will reflect the legend of Atlantis. Gold finishes will also be included as a nod to the found treasures in the lost city of Atlantis.

Most renovations will be set and ready to go by the summer of this year — but certain larger scale projects are set to open to the public in 2024. More information including how to book is available on the official Atlantis Paradise Island website.
