Dior Sails The River Seine In A First Ever Floating Luxury Experience

We’ve seen Dior Spas in hotels like the Hôtel Plaza Athénée and the new Cheval Blanc Hotel in Paris. And those spas with their premium Dior Beauty products are one-of-a-kind, with many of these products only being available in Dior Spas. But for the past two weeks Dior has made an unprecedented move by taking to the seas with three single suites and one double suite that are available for five journeys a day. The Dior Spa Cheval Blanc Paris cruise has been sailing the River Seine and will dock tomorrow.

The cruise commenced at the start of Haute Couture Week and is an ode to Mr. Christian Dior and to how much he loved the City of Lights. Dior and Cheval Blanc Paris’s aim was to create an Avant-Garde experience through well-being, beauty, and skincare. Alighting on the right bank at Port Debilly across from the Eiffel Tower, guests have a 2-hour experience with different package options that includes one-hour face and body treatments, and sport options being available. Only five passengers are available for each cruise journey, and the boat can be privately chartered for a half-day or for an evening event.

Inspired by the luxury of the Bains de la Samaritaine, historic floating baths from the 19th century that were located along the Pont-Neuf, on the River Seine. It was a place for the well-to-do to enjoy medical spa treatments, steam baths, and hydrotherapy. “Ancestors of the modern spa and equipped with incredibly technical installations for the era, there were about a hundred cabins offering cosmetic treatments,” states the house in notes.

On the upper deck you will find Rattan furniture and parasols in the blue toile de jouy, the house’s pattern that Maria Grazia Chiuri reimagined. For a moment you will feel as if you’re cruising on the on the French Riviera. And below deck is where all the treatments take place. Two lower levels include a lounge and the four treatment cabins- “elegant cocoons” calls the house.

Body treatments from relaxing or energizing works on every muscle, every fragment of the skin, and the mind. Lasting 60 minutes, the physical, emotional, and psychological. These treatments combine Dior science with the hands of the Dior beauty ambassadors.

After treatments guest are guided to the indoor lounge or up to the terrace on the upper deck to enjoy a cocktail to enjoy Paris until their return to Port Debilly. As guests disembark, they are invited to walk the same path that Mr. Dior walked along Parisian promenades, to take in the house founder’s love for the French capital, and its edifices and monuments.
