Ganni Ventures Into Beauty For The First Time With Sustainable Glitter Launch

Launching on October 19 on and in GANNI stores worldwide, the limited capsule collection of plant-based glitters in collaboration with Submission Beauty marks the Danish affordable luxury brand’s first-ever venture in the space of beauty.

Made from natural and plant-derived material and developed to biodegrade quickly and safely in a natural environment, the glitters arrive in three popping shades to brighten up the gloomy autumnal days: Barbie pink, canary gold and clean silver.

Having previously used Submission Beauty’s plant-based glitter for both their SS22 and FW22 shows, the collaboration came natural for GANNI.

The launch also marks GANNI’s deepening commitment in becoming more environmentally aware and socially responsible. The brand, loved by fans for its Scandi-luxe, cool-girl aesthetics, launched its Responsibility Game Plan in 2020 that comprises 44 goals to be reached by 2023. 87% of the production volume for the brand’s newest collection comes from responsible styles, meaning at least 50% of the composition is certified recycled, lower-impact, or organic. GANNI currently has 100% traceability on Stage 1-4 of their supply chain and has published all Stage 1 and 2 suppliers with the Open Apparel Registry to drive transparency.

Speaking of the collaboration with Submission Beauty, GANNI’s Creative Director Ditte Reffstrup noted the two brands “share the same vision for our industries” and that she “couldn’t wait to introduce the glitter to our community.” Reffstrup elaborated further on the shades chosen: “Submission’s universe is so full of expression and color just like GANNI’s and I couldn’t be happier that our first beauty collaboration is with them. We came up with these super fun colors that are all about giving people a way to express themselves and go a little crazy.”
