Live from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles was last night’s Emmys, an award’s show we haven’ seen since 2019. The red-carpet fashion varied with actors wearing a colorful palette, or choosing to opt in for a black and white theme. But, it was John Legend and Zedd who stunned for the men in their tailored unique attire. And maybe we can add Jerrod Carmichael for his daring fur. While Zendaya, Lizzo, and Sydney Sweeny were some of the most glamorous women.
There was a change of winners since the last Emmys, of Abbott Elementary winning numerous awards from Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series, best Outstanding Comedy Series, Lead Actress in a Comedy Series, and Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series. Wearing a hugging off-the-shoulder black velvet gown with a really thigh-high slit, Sheryl Lee Ralph gave an emotional speech sharing, “to anyone who has ever, ever had a dream and thought your dream wasn’t, wouldn’t, couldn’t come true, I am here to tell you that this is what believing looks like. This is what striving looks like. And don’t you ever, ever give up on you,” said the sixty-five-year-old actress (who doesn’t look a bit her age, by the way).

The White Lotus won well, and has now been renewed for a second season. Winning 10 Emmys total, and one being Best Limited Series, made anticipation for what season 2 could bring, all the more exciting.
