The Ocean Club Just Launched A Secret 007 Menu

The villas at The Ocean Club, A Four Seasons Resort in the Bahamas, are some of the most sought-after in the Caribbean. But, while guests love them for their plush accommodations, Hollywood is a fan, too, with the four-bedroom villa played backdrop to the James Bond “Casino Royale” 2006 remake. So to honor that unique legacy, the property decided to offer a new secret menu that celebrates the hotel’s and the original James Bond film’s 60th anniversary this year.

Dubbed the 007 Secret Menu, the seven-course “secret'” tasting menu will be hosted at the property’s iconic Martini Bar, which famously hosted the film with the property’s Bartender Kieth Cash who is still there today. Each course pays homage to Bond films throughout the decades. Plus, it celebrates where each film took place. Of course, each dish is paired with a martini! So expect everything over-the-tops like caviar, truffle martinis, and everything in-between.

And since it’s a super exclusive offering—in true Bond fashion—guests won’t know what they’re getting into until they book the experience. After booking, they will receive a “classified” note in-room the morning with instructions on how to participate in the evening experience. From there, a delectable night of excitement will ensue.

“We wanted to create something exciting and unique that revives our Resort’s legacy as we celebrate our 60th anniversary this year,” John Conway, General Manager, told me. “Looking back at our iconic history, James Bond is a special moment when The Ocean Club played backdrop to the 2006 remake of Casino Royale, and most of the scenes were shot here on property. It just so happened that 2022 also marked the 60th anniversary of the original Bond film, so we’ve paired the two together to create a fun experience for our guests…the 007 Secret Menu.

For guests that want to enjoy the 007 Secret Menu in the comfort of their accommodations, we are also able to offer this in select Suites, Bungalow, and Villa Residences. You could even stay in the four-bedroom villa where the movie was filmed. It can accommodate 10 guests and comes with a 24-hour service team, a gated garden courtyard with jetted tub and patio dining, an oceanfront infinity pool, private beach access, and more. If you want to up the Bond romance, opt to stay in the one bedroom tucked away in the garden while the other three bedrooms are in the main villa.

Of course, the private 007 dinner—which starts at $700 per person— isn’t the only exclusive offering if you stay in the villa. You can also have in-residence spa services, private yoga sessions, and private rum tastings away from other guests. Although Bond would prefer you have a dry martini shaken, not stirred.

As far as where you can see the resort in the film, pay special attention to the scene where Daniel Craig walks out of the ocean in a blue bathing suit, walks through reception after setting off car alarms, and plays poker in the library. Plus, he explores the property’s incredible Instagram-worthy Versailles-themed gardens.
