This Toronto Hotel Is Making It Easier Than Ever To Travel With Furry Friends

Kimpton Saint George has this week announced its partnership with Canadian-made Doggy Bathroom; a pup-sized private ensuite designed to make your dog or cat’s hotel experience as luxurious and comfortable as possible.

The Doggy Bathroom is compact and discrete but allows pets the option to use their own private bathroom whenever they naturally need to—making it an ideal solution for nervous or jetlagged dogs.

“Offering the Doggy Bathroom at Kimpton Saint George helps our customers enjoy the same amenities of home while they travel,” President & Founder Alain Courchesne explained in a press release. “Kimpton Saint George shares our values of having a well-designed space, while making sure our dogs travel just as comfortably and luxurious as we do.”

The compact bathroom solution is the only dog-specific litter box for toy breeds (including male pups who lift their leg thanks to the custom pee pads designed for vertical application). Crafted from 100 percent recycled materials, the discrete portable bathroom is a sustainable solution for dog owners when outdoor access is limited.

“Bringing the Doggy Bathroom to Kimpton Saint George is another great step we’re taking to recognize the growing demographic of pet-owning travellers,” added Nabeel Toubayly, General Manager, Kimpton Saint George. “The sleek and minimalist design of the Doggy Bathroom aligns perfectly with the design-centric focus of the Kimpton brand, creating a seamless inclusion to our list of services and amenities.”

All Kimpton Hotels have been pet-friendly since the brand first opened its doors over thirty years ago in 1981. Kimpton Saint George in Toronto offers pet-friendly accommodations with no weight or size limitations or additional fees (as long as they fit in the elevator!). The hotel has plenty of other pet-friendly amenities to make the stay as comfortable as possible—including pet beds, treats, courtesy bags, and water bowls.
